Express VPN Review
Express VPN is one of the best VPN services on the market. In fact, we use it everyday for its fast servers and many locations. There are many reasons for choosing Express VPN, which we’ll discuss below.
No Logs Policy
As mentioned above, ExpressVPN does not keep users logs. This is clearly mentioned on their website:
“We never keep traffic logs, and we also don’t keep any logs that might enable someone to match an IP and timestamp back to a user. We work entirely on the basis of shared IPs, meaning that a single IP does not track back to an individual user.”
They do keep simple logs, which can never be traced back to you: the apps you activate (for simultaneous connections), the date when you logged in (but not the time), the server and the amount of MB transferred.
Very Fast Servers
The speed of ExpressVPN is indeed the best on the market. They have 1500+ servers on 94 countries, so it’s impossible not to find a server who suits your needs. Here’s our simple test, on a normal, home based WiFi connection, with VPN:
Privacy and Encryption
Based on the British Virgin Islands (BVI), ExpressVPN is a safe service when it comes to privacy. Even though BVI is theoretically a British overseas territory, they have 100% autonomy and traffic logging is not mandatory by law.
ExpressVPN uses AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) with 256-bit keys — also known as AES-256. It’s the same encryption standard adopted by the U.S. government and used by security experts worldwide to protect classified information.
Devices and Usability
ExpressVPN is very easy to install and it supports all the popular platforms available today.
Three simultaneous connections are available for each account.
